About Peppers Ranch

OUR HISTORY: In 1999, 160 acres north of Edmond and west of Guthrie was purchased and donated to Peppers Ranch with the goal of developing a long-term residential care facility providing quality, planned care for abused and neglected boys. The first home opened in April 2002 and the second in March 2005. The McClendon Equestrian Center was completed in November 2005 and the Watts Ag Center was finished in May 2006. The ranch also includes a baseball field, soccer field, playground area and fort, and a stocked 8 acre pond. In April of 2009, with a shortage of safe and nurturing foster homes in the State of Oklahoma, our program was modified to support and assist foster parents.

OUR PROGRAM: Peppers Ranch is a foster care community providing a disciplined environment in which we challenge and encourage the development of responsible behavioral skills, academic standards, social discipline, spiritual principles, and physical activity. Since sibling relations are emotionally powerful and critically important, we place strong emphasis on keeping sibling groups together. The children we care for are often victims of severe physical, emotional and sexual abuse. Many come from broken, dysfunctional homes, or feel isolated and unaccepted in their homes, schools and communities. Despite their pain and hardships, they are remarkably talented and resilient. It is our goal to provide youth the tools to not just get by in life, but to become happy, successful and independent adults.
