About Peppers Ranch

OUR HISTORY: In 1999, 160 acres north of Edmond and west of Guthrie was purchased and donated to Peppers Ranch with the goal of developing a long-term residential care facility providing quality, planned care for abused and neglected children. The first of five homes opened in April 2002 and the second in March 2005. The McClendon Equestrian Center was completed in November 2005 and the Watts Ag Center was finished in May 2006. The ranch also includes a baseball field, playground area and fort, stocked 8 acre pond, camp sites and woodworking shop.

OUR PROGRAM: Peppers Ranch is a residential boy's community providing a disciplined environment in which we challenge and encourage the development of responsible behavioral skills, academic standards, social discipline, spiritual principles, and physical activity. Each year, Peppers Ranch accepts boys from all ethnic, cultural, geographic and socio-economic backgrounds between the ages of 5 and 15 at admission. Often they are victims of severe physical, emotional and sexual abuse, compounded by medical and psychiatric problems. Many come from broken, dysfunctional homes, or feel isolated and unaccepted in their homes, schools and communities. Yet, despite their pain and hardships, these boys are remarkably talented and resilient.
