May 24, 2011 Tornado

Peppers Ranch was in the path of the tornado that carved its way through Logan County on Tuesday. We were very fortunate that the children and parents were in storm shelters at the ranch and no one was injured. Our new Learning Center, the Mechanical Barn, and the McClendon Equestrian Center suffered significant structural damage or will be a complete loss; and one of the new homes currently under construction sustained extensive roof damage.

It has been said that “it is only stuff”, but thanks to the consistent support of our donors, Peppers Ranch was able to provide a safe and secure place for our families, keeping the children safe and thriving through this storm of life.

While this is a minor setback, it is indeed a hurdle in our walk to help children. We have all been blessed with the gift of life and now…an utter appreciation for it. We are indeed blessed! Very soon, we will clean up, rebuild, and replant. We remain committed to our mission!

Thank you for your continued support and prayers during this challenging time.
